Obituary

Anthony D. Angerosa, a resident of Fishkill for more than 30 years, formerly of Suffolk County, died on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Archcare at Ferncliff Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Rhinebeck. He was 93.
Son of the late Dominick and Carmela Angerosa, he was born in Manhattan on March 9, 1921. In 1943, he was inducted into the U.S. Army and served in many World War II battles including the invasion of Normandy. In 1944, he was wounded in action and was awarded the Purple Heart for his sacrifice. He was honorably discharged in 1945 and received additional medals including 3 Bronze Stars and the European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Medal.
For many years, Anthony worked as an auto salesman in Suffolk County as well as Brownell Motors in Fishkill.
On June 17, 1945, he married Florence Drago at St. Francis of Paola Church in Brooklyn. Mrs. Angerosa survives at home.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Camille & Louis B. Colletti, D.D.S. of Hopewell Junction; his grandchildren, Amy Holmes & her husband Jeffrey of Newtown, CT and Heather Colletti-Houde & her husband Paul of Newtown, CT; and his great-grandchildren, Ava Rose Holmes and Ryan Benjamin Houde.
He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2014 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 following the visitation. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery in Long Island, where the U.S. Army will conduct Military Honors.
