Anthony J. Berardis, Sr., a resident of Hopewell Junction, entered into eternal rest on August 20, 2014 at the age of 75.
Tony was born on May 26, 1939 to the late Luke and Fannie Berardis. He attended Catholic schools and graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School. He was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction.
He was the President of Heritage Plumbing and Heating, and was a master plumber involved in many residential and commercial properties. An avid hunter, he was a former member of Willowood, Whortlekill and Dover Furnace Shooting Clubs.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Nancy D'Alessandro Berardis. He was a loving father to his sons and their wives, Anthony Jr. and Lisa, and Michael and Melissa; and cherished grandfather of Annalise, Anthony, Emma and Christopher, all of whom had a special place in his heart. Tony was a caring husband, father and grandfather whose greatest joy was his family.
Friends may call on Friday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
