Hopewell Junction - Anthony Joseph Casella, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. He was 90 years old.

Born on November 12, 1934, in the Bronx, NY, Anthony was the cherished son of Anthony and Mary (Ankner) Casella. He married the love of his life, Edwina Iannuccilli, on April 27, 1957. Edwina predeceased him on June 23, 2023, and their love story continues to inspire all who knew them.

A dedicated professional, Anthony served as an Insurance Supervisor for the State of New York, where he made many lasting connections throughout his career. He was a devoted parishioner, first at Our Lady of Assumption in the Bronx and later at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.

Anthony found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid golfer, spending countless hours on the green and delighting in the beauty of the game. As a diehard Giants Football fan, he filled many Sundays with spirited cheers and passionately followed his team. In the winter months, he embraced bowling, sharing laughter and camaraderie with fellow enthusiasts.

Anthony is lovingly survived by his son, Richard Casella, and his wife, Denise, of Deland, FL, and his daughter, Lisa Reback, and her husband, Heath, of Fishkill, NY. He was a proud grandfather to Nicholas Casella and his wife, Katie, and Ashley Reback. He also enjoyed the precious role of great-grandfather to Giulia, Nicholas, and Emily, who brought him immeasurable joy.

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Anthony was predeceased by his son, William Casella, and his siblings, Rosemary Spero and John Casella.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. Burial will be immediately following at St. Denis Cemetery, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
