LAGRANGEVILLE – Anthony C. Cillis, Jr., 78, an area resident since 1985, died peacefully on March 18, 2022. He previously lived in Corona, Queens.
Born in Queens on August 19, 1943, Anthony was the son of the late Antonio and Yolanda (Trotta) Cillis, Sr. He owned and operated Lou Famulari Flooring in Flushing, Queens for over 49 years until his retirement.
Anthony raised homing pigeons his entire life and was the previous owner of many harness race horses. He also enjoyed horseback riding and old Westerns. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
On September 29, 1973 at Our Lady of Miracles Church in Brooklyn, Anthony married Theresa (Cerra) Cillis who survives at home after 48 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Gary Anthony Cillis and his companions Raquel and Lulu of Titusville, FL, Traci Ann Cillis-Horn and her husband Brett of Poughkeepsie, and Anthony C. Cillis, III and his fiancée Danielle DiCarlo of Hyde Park; his granddaughter, Madison Jane Horn; and his brother, Dr. Daniel R. Cillis and his partner Nancy Maffucci.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Millbrook.
