Anthony Karl DeBonis, a lifelong Dutchess County resident, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY. He was 48.

Born in Beacon on August 27, 1976, he graduated from John Jay Senior High School (East Fishkill, NY) in 1995. Anthony received a bachelor's degree from Manhattanville College (Purchase, NY). He worked as a self-employed contractor.

His hobbies included woodworking, art, and outdoor activities such as fishing and camping. He could fix anything and was known to his family & friends as a "jack of all trades". He also had a sincere compassion for pets and animals.

More than anything else, however, Anthony cherished spending time with his family and will be remembered by his nieces & nephews as their amazing "funcle".

Survivors include his mother, Katherine E. (Kirchner) DeBonis; his sisters, Micci DeBonis and Gina DeBonis-Giordano; his nieces & nephews, McKayla Corletta and her husband Christopher, Julian DeCicco, Saige Giordano, and Sophia Giordano; as well as many other loving relatives & friends.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Anthony J. DeBonis; as well as his grandparents.

Services are private at this time.
