WAPPINGERS FALLS - Anthony J. DiVito, 77, died on July 16, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. A former resident of East Fishkill since 1973, he was most recently residing in Wappingers Falls.
Born in Mount Vernon, NY on May 31, 1946, Tony was the son of the late Louis and Filomena (Pasquale) DiVito. He proudly served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. Tony was employed as a Quality Control Supervisor by the CorCraft division of the NYS Department of Corrections at Green Haven Correctional Facility until his retirement.
An avid fan of the NY Yankees and NY Jets, Tony also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a skilled handman who could fix anything.
On October 26, 1969 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Mount Vernon, Tony married his childhood sweetheart, Judith (Brooker) DiVito, who survives at home after over 53 years of marriage. He is also survived by his daughter, Jennifer Munger, her husband Bryan, and their children Skylar and Shaun; his daughter, Amanda Dombrowski, her husband Joseph, and their children, Sierra, Sophia, and Anthony; his brother-in-law, Ronald Rickman; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tony was also predeceased by his siblings, Barbara Rickman and Louis DiVito.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
