Obituary

Anthony Duarte, 68, a four year resident of Como, CO and formerly of Dutchess and Westchester Counties, died on Friday, September 3, 2010.

Born in Peekskill on March 6, 1942, he was the son of the late Joaquim and Zulie Duarte. Tony graduated from Peekskill High School and was employed in facilities operations by IBM, East Fishkill for 28 years until his retirement in 1992. He went on to work as a driver for Leprechaun Lines and Package Pavement. Tony loved his family, riding his motorcycle, enjoyed camping and was a former Boy Scout Leader.

Tony is survived by his former wife, Carol Duarte, of Parker, CO; his sons, Michael and Chris Duarte of Lonetree, CO; his sister, Margaret Shaw of Hopewell Junction; his brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Christina Duarte of Cortlandt Manor; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Thomas Shaw.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
