Obituary

Anthony E. Gonzalez, 84, a resident of the Town of East Fishkill since 1971 and of Manhattan, died at home on Sunday, October 24, 2010. For many years, Anthony managed the Communications Departments at the Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and became a recipient of the Purple Heart. Anthony served on the Manhattan Planning Board, and was also a Mason and life member of the Whortlekill Rod and Gun Club. Born in Manhattan on March 14, 1926, he was son of the late Louis Anthony and Ana Vargas Gonzalez. On February 10, 1951, he married Ramona Lopez in New York City. Mrs. Gonzalez survives at home. Anthony is also survived by two sons, Hector Gonzalez of New Jersey and Ralph Gonzalez of Wappingers Falls; three grandchildren, Alyssa, Michael, and Anthony. Calling hours will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday October 27 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
