YONKERS - Anthony P. "Julie" Guigliano, 88, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Troy on September 8, 1926, he was the son of the late Michael and Lucy (Sorrentino) Guigliano. On July 7, 1968 at St. Dominic's Church in the Bronx, Anthony married Catherine Barbetto who survives at home. Anthony proudly served our country in the Navy during WW II. He had been employed as an inspector at Stewart Stamping in Yonkers until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Catherine Guigliano; his sister, Anna Mangano and her husband Peter; his sister-in-law, Rita Guigliano; his sisters-in-law and their husbands, Elsie and Jerry Quattrucci and Joyce and John Mascia; his nieces and nephews, Elisa, Gerard and Denise, John and Michelle, Melissa and Joe, Frank, Rudy and Cathie, Dawn and Ben, Laura and Christopher, Peter and Julia, Stephanie and Richard, Anthony and Theresa, Angelo Jr. and Carolyn, and Laura; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Angelo Guigliano and Rosario Guigliano; his brother-in-law, Rocco Barbetto; and his nephew, Michael Guigliano.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale with military honors.
