Anthony R. Laporta II, 44, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 2005 and formerly of Eastchester, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in the Bronx on May 19, 1969, he was the son of Anthony and Maria Laporta of Bronxville. Anthony graduated from Tuckahoe High School, Southampton College of Long Island University and Fordham University. He was employed by C&S Wholesale in Chester. Anthony had a heart of gold. He loved cars and was an avid environmentalist.
On May 22, 2005 at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction, Anthony married Alis Boghus who survives at home. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his brothers, Roland Laporta of Bronxville, and Andrew Laporta and his wife Vanessa of Long Island. He was predeceased by his brother, Louis Laporta.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
