Anthony J. Messina Jr., a resident of Accord for the past 14 years and previously from East Fishkill, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on April 13, 2023. He was 74 years old.

Anthony was born on March 17, 1949, the son of the late Anthony Sr. and Jeannette (Banks) Messina.

Anthony worked for and retired from the Town of East Fishkill Highway Department where he was a Highway Foreman. He loved baseball, especially the East Fishkill and Mid-Hudson Baseball leagues.

Anthony is survived by his loving and devoted wife Shirley; his five children: Tammy Messina, Anthony Messina (Stephanie), Tim Messina (Molly), Tracy Burton (Damon) and Jason Messina (Liz); 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters Anna Messina and Florence Monahan.

Calling hours will be Monday, April 17, 2023, at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction from 3-7pm. A service will take place at 6:30pm in the funeral home.
