Obituary

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Anthony D. Ferraiolo, Sr., 89, passed away on May 26, 2023. A resident of Myrtle Beach, SC since 2019, he previously lived in Yonkers and Dutchess County.

Born in Yonkers, NY on December 3, 1933, Anthony was the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (DiRienzo) Ferraiolo. He proudly served in the US Army from 1956-1958. Anthony retired from the Westchester County Department of Corrections in 1991 after 24 years of service. On July 8, 1956, he married Elaine (Maberly) Ferraiolo who predeceased him on January 5, 2001.

Anthony was a member of the Joe DiMaggio Lodge #224 of the Sons of Italy. He was a faithful member of his church. He loved seeing and making his wife "Snookie" happy. He liked driving his "Tony the Tiger" golf cart around the neighborhood. Anthony had an interest in taking photos, and making lasting memories into numerous photo albums. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and adored his children and grandchildren. He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports, and was proud of their education and careers.

Anthony is survived by his son, Anthony W. Ferraiolo, Jr.; his daughter, Elaine C. Ferraiolo; his daughter-in-law, Anne Marie Ferraiolo; his grandchildren, Anne Marie K. Ferraiolo and Anthony D. Ferraiolo; and his beloved grand dog, Alvin. He was a proud uncle and Godfather to many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Thomas Ferraiola, Louis Ferraiola, Joseph Ferraiolo, Ralph Ferraiolo, Teresa Vassello, and Louise Horvath; and his wife's 6 sisters.
He was a master of all trades, and was affectionally known to many and loved as Nogos, the Iron Man, The Rock, and Cannon.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1400 Route 52, Fishkill followed by burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh.
