Anthony Angelo Ucci

Anthony A. Ucci, a local area resident since 1987, formerly of Elmsford and Port Chester, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 79.

Son of the late Giustino and Mary (Vaccaro) Ucci, he was born on November 27, 1946. Tony graduated from Port Chester Senior High School in 1964, and soon after he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. A Vietnam War Veteran, he was trained as a Shipfitter and served aboard the USS Hunley as well as the USS Ticonderoga, earning the title of Master Welder. Tony was honorably discharged from active duty in 1967 and continued his service in the US Naval Reserves until 1970.

For more than 50 years, he was an active member of the Local 21 (formerly 299) Plumbers & Steamfitters Union. He began as an apprentice and then went on to teach, later becoming a business agent and then business manager. He was also a member of the NYS Pipe Trades Association and Past President of the NYS AFL-CIO.

Tony was a motorhead and was fascinated by vintage vehicles and muscle cars. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and powerboating. He was also a 2nd Degree Black Belt Karate instructor and skilled artist.

On October 24, 1987, he married Diane K. Cook in Elmsford. Diane survives at home in Poughkeepsie.

Additional survivors include his daughter, Jodi Riccobono & her husband Domenic of Rhinebeck; and his three grandsons, Brandon Riccobono & his wife Iridian, Logan Riccobono, and Tristan Riccobono.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 15 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. Military Honors and Family Remembrances will be shared at 7:30pm.
