POUGHKEEPSIE – Antone “Sonny” Davis, 68, died on Monday, June 24, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.

He was raised in the Bronx. He attended Dewitt Clinton High School. In 1962, he met and married his wife Sheila McCormack. They were married for 50 years. Together they raised 3 sons, Antonio, Andre, and Quentin. He served for four years in the United States Navy aboard the USS Blandy. He was employed by Con Edison for 42 years until his retirement in 2009. Sonny held a Sixth Degree black belt in Shotokan Karate. He also enjoyed salsa music.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila of Poughkeepsie; his two sons, Andre of Poughkeepsie and Quentin and his wife Marlene of Hopewell Junction; his daughter-in-law, Beatrice Davis; his two sisters, Kellie and Tioga Davis; his grandchildren, Chini Davis, Antonio Davis, Dorian Davis, and Wykishya Robinson; his great-grandchildren, Ajanea, Jaiden and Madison Davis and Keyshawn and Kamari Robinson; and a host of cousins and other relatives. His son, Antonio, predeceased him.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 12 – 2 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm with military honors.
