POUGHQUAG – Antonietta Cedrone, 88, an area resident since 1971, died on January 31, 2021 at MidHudson Regional Hospital. She previously lived in the Bronx.

Born in Italy on January 10, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Donato and Cesidia (Cucchi) Marini. On May 8, 1955 in Italy, she married Antonio Cedrone who predeceased her in 2004.

A parishioner at St. Denis Church, she also loved gardening and reading. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Antonietta is survived by her children and their spouses, Lucio and Diane Cedrone of Haverhill, MA, and Anna and Antonio Carino of Poughquag; her 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sister, Loreta Marini; and several nieces, nephew, great nieces, and great-nephews. Antonietta was predeceased by her grandson.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required. Since capacity may be limited, all attendees should be prepared for potential extended waiting periods.
