Arabella Giordani

POUGHQUAG - Arabella Giordani, 89, an area resident for 30 years, died peacefully surrounded by her family on October 15, 2026.

Born on October 21, 1936 in Italy, Arabella was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Angelina (DelCarlo) Talenti.

She married the love of her life, Lirio Giordani, on February 27, 1960. Their journey took them from Italy to Brazil, and New York where they ultimately settled down.

She devoted her life to her family, cherishing her roles as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. After arriving in the U.S., she became the creative owner of Contemporary Original Designs, a company specializing in statues and figurines. Through her work, Arabella cultivated a lifelong connection to art and design.

To Arabella, her employees were never simply employees; they were an extension of her family. Her generosity, compassion, and unwavering support extended far beyond the workplace.

Arabella possessed an infectious zest for life, a vibrant spirit, and an extraordinary ability to make everyone around her feel loved and welcomed. When she wasn't feeding her family, she could be found singing and dancing in the kitchen.

Those fortunate enough to know Arabella will remember her warmth, her laughter, and the joy she brought into every room. While she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on through the generations of family she cherished so dearly.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Katia and David Macagnone, Wania and Danny Unti, Monica and Joe LaBelle, and Lirio and Kimberly Giordani; her grandchildren, Stephanie, David Jr. (Laura), Danny (Danielle), Lauren (Jonathon), Ariana, Nicole, Kristian (Fiancé Caitlyn), Christopher (Fiancé Jessica), Brittanie, Alyssa, Joey, and Angelina; her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Ava, Dominic, Jason, Lilia, Kennedy, Ellie, and Rocco; her brother, Giancarlo Talenti; and many nieces and nephews. She was looking forward to meeting her 9th great-grandchild in March 2027.

In addition to her parents, Arabella was predeceased by her dedicated husband, Lirio Giordani, in 2011; and her dear sister-in-law, Judith Talenti in 2026.

A Mass of Christian Burial is being offered on her 90th birthday, Wednesday, October 21st, at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction (https://www.google.com/maps/search/602+Beekman+Road,+Hopewell+Junction?entry=gmail&source=g). Inurnment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
