Arlene Reden, formerly of Ardsley, NY, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025. She was 86. Born in Yonkers, NY on July 3, 1938, to the late James and Agnes McCann, Arlene married the late John Reden. They shared many happy years together, from 1957 until his passing in 1993. Arlene pursued higher education, earning degrees from Mercy College and Fordham University. She dedicated her career to social work, serving as a case manager and also sharing her expertise as an educator at Fordham University's Westchester Campus. A devoted member of her church (OLPH) and community, Arlene participated in various organizations, including religious groups and the Dobbs Ferry Women's Club, where she served as President. Arlene enjoyed traveling, both domestically and internationally, including religious pilgrimages. She spent many winters enjoying Longboat Key, FL. Arlene is survived by her daughter, Laura, and her husband Pat; her son, John, and his wife Elizabeth, and their daughter, Danielle (grandchild); and her son-in-law, Howard. She was predeceased by her husband, John Reden; and her daughter, Lisa. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair Street, Cold Spring, NY. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, 36 Peekskill Road, Cold Spring, NY.
