Ashley Elizabeth White, 15, a lifelong resident of Hopewell Junction, died on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in Islamorada, FL while vacationing with her family.
Born in Mount Kisco on August 20, 1995, she was the daughter of Steven and Janine Wade White. She would have been a junior in the fall at Carmel High School. She attended St. Columba Church and Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church. Ashley had been a member of the Kent Knights Cheerleaders in middle school and was a member of Interact in high school. She enjoyed photography, drawing, jet skiing, gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She will forever be remembered as a great sister with the biggest heart ever whose eyes glistened and face glowed when she smiled.
In addition to her parents, Ashley is survived by her sister and brothers, Stephanie Anne, Thomas Steven and Timothy John; her grandparents, John Wade of Islamorada, FL and Marjorie and Grosvenor White of Raleigh, NC; her aunts and uncles, Donna & Bill Quirk, Nancy Goudey, Robert White, Jane & Chris Gibbons, Richard & Karla White, Linda & Derek Schwarz, Jennifer & Fritz Schudlik, John & Audrey Wade, Maureen Hackett; and many cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville.
Memorial donations may be made for a memorial that is being established at Carmel High School, Student Government Organization, 35 Fair Street, Carmel, NY 10512.
