Obituary

Audrey M. Johansson, a resident of Poughkeepsie, and formerly of Pleasant Valley, passed away on January 15th, 2021 at Lutheran Care Center. She was 88.
Born in Poughkeepsie, New York on February 20, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Louise T. Gibson and Harvey J. Hall. On September 30, 1956, Audrey married Eric H. Johansson in St. Mary’s Church, he predeceased her in 2008. In addition to her husband, Audrey was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Dolores E Hall; her brother, John G. Hall; her sister-in-law, Shirley, Hall; and her son, Eric (Rick) Johansson.
Audrey is survived by her daughter, Mary L. Mangelli, and her husband, Vincent of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; her grandson, Michael and his wife, Hannah; her grandson, Matthew Mangelli of Raleigh, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
She formerly worked for Dutchess County Real Property Tax, as a tax map technician before retiring in 1994. Audrey was a lifetime member of the P.A.C.C ladies auxiliary. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and St. Stanislaus Church.
Audrey was truly one of the sweetest people ever and she will be missed by all whoever knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Tuesday, January 19th at St. Mary, Mother of theChurch, 106 Jackson Street Fishkill, New York. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 171 Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, New York. Please note: In accordance with NYS guidelines, face masks and social distancing are required.
