Audrey E. Zindler, age 89, a lifelong Dutchess County resident, passed away on January 6, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was born in Rhinebeck, NY on September 15, 1934 to the late William and Dorothy (Simmons) Triebel. On May 31, 1959, she married her beloved husband Herbert Zindler at Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church. Herbert passed away in 1982.

Audrey was a graduate of Albany Business School and later, SUNY New Paltz. Audrey's family owned and operated Triebel's Garage in Red Hook for over 100 years. She worked in the Accounting Department at Central Hudson until she and Herbert started their family. Her late husband Herbert worked at Central Hudson as well. In her spare time, she tutored for Literacy Volunteers.

Audrey is survived by her 3 children: Steven Zindler and his partner Greg, of Bethel, CT, Heidi Rader and her husband Dave of Easton, PA, and Eric and his wife Dawn of Wappingers Falls, NY; her grandchildren: Eric Jr., Zachary, Ryan, Brittany, Kayla, Kathleen, and Hollie; and 2 of her siblings: Charles Triebel, and Elma Cooper.

In addition to her husband Herbert, Audrey was predeceased by her brothers, Donald F. Triebel and William L. Triebel.
