Shortly after coming into the world, twins Bakari Anthony and Nova Marie Gibbs passed away peacefully with their parents, due to preterm labor and delivery, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.

The twins join their grandfathers, Ronald Anthony Jeter and Alonzo Beasley Gibbs Sr. They are survived by their parents, Jessica Lynn Jeter and Alonzo Beasley Gibbs, Jr.; their siblings, Lamaar Jermaine Porter and Grayson Ali Sidney; grandmothers, Tina Marie Calabrese-Jeter and Ursula Marie Robinson-Jones; grandfather, Anthony Charn Jones, Sr.; great-grandmothers, Marylouise Calabrese and Judy Gibbs; aunts, Ally Gibbs, Ursala Jones, Lynn Holliman, Tamika Jones, Tiffany Barber, Amber Perpignand, and Elise Jones; uncle, Anthony Jones Jr; and several other loved ones.

Both children were baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Nova's Godparents are TessaRose Talaber and Xavier Dabbs and Bakari's Godparents are Lynette Guy and Nigel Hatch.
