Barbara Jean Allen, 55, of Carolina Shores, NC, died on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Born on December 21, 1954 in Margaretville, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Jeanne Schubert Allen.  Barbara is survived by her husband of 36 years, Eddie Castinidos of Carolina Shores; her son, Eddie Castinidos, Jr.; her daughters, Marie Ruffner and her husband, John and Gina Tesla and her husband, Chris; her brothers, John Allen and his wife, Corrina and Donald Allen and his wife, Susan; her sister, Betty Allen and her husband, Rick Sophia; two grandchildren; and her loving dog, Tee-Ball.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2009 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m.
