WAPPINGERS FALLS – Barbara F. Camberato, 85, an area resident for over 22 years, passed away on January 10, 2023 at the Yorktown Nursing Home. She previously lived in Sleepy Hollow.

Born in Mount Vernon on January 18, 1937, Barbara was the daughter of the late James and Matilda (Maselli) Victore. She worked as an operator for New York Telephone and then as a manager at Rudolph's in Mount Kisco.

On November 30, 1957 in Mount Vernon, Barbara married Joseph Camberato who predeceased her in 2018. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jim and Diane Camberato of Wadmalaw, SC and Lisa and Jim DePalma of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, James and Erika DePalma, Sam Camberato, Gabrielle Camberato and Tyler Floyd, and Christopher and Silvana DePalma; her great-grandchildren, Caden, Carson, Cameron, and Casey; and her sisters, Evelyn Bourgeois and Diane Mangieri.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 10am at the funeral home followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla.
