POUGHQUAG – Barbara D. Corrado, 82, passed away on September 7, 2021 at Lutheran Care Center, Poughkeepsie.

Born in Poughkeepsie on April 15, 1939, Barbara was the daughter of the late Peter and Theodosia (Gildersleeve) Doran. She was a graduate of Wappinger High School. She worked for Central Hudson and Atlantic Design Company from where she retired.

On August 9, 1958 at St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction, she married Richard Corrado, who predeceased her. She is survived by her daughters, Carole Tomlins of Rhinebeck and Kathleen Maturo and her husband Ronald of Poughquag; her sister-in-law Patricia Doran of Millbrook; her brother, Peter Doran and his wife Peggy of Poughkeepsie; her 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her children, Anthony Corrado, Marie DiLandro and Vincent Corrado; and her brother, Thomas Doran.

She was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction. Barbara's love and trust in the Lord was her strength. It was with her deep faith and devotion that she would always say "He suffered for me, I suffer for Him" and "I was blessed with a beautiful family."

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude for the tremendous support from her sister-in-law Patricia Doran, Ann Murphy, and Hudson Valley Hospice. Donations can be made in Barbara's name to Lutheran Care Center Memorial Garden and Hudson Valley Hospice.
