Barbara Muller, 100, of Hopewell Junction, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center.

Born in Hollfeld, Germany on November 10, 1913, she was the daughter of George and Marianna Wittauer. One of ten siblings, Barbara immigrated to America in 1926 where she lived in various residences in the Bronx and Brooklyn. In 1934, she married the late Alfred Muller at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Brewster. There the family owned and operated a restaurant and boarding house called the Colonial Pines.

Barbara was a past member of the Steuben Society of America, Roebling Unit, Carmel; Catholic Daughters of America; and Senior Citizens of Brewster and Beekman. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction.

Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Caroline Robbins. She is survived by her son, George Muller and his wife Sally of Hopewell Junction; her sister, Theresa Papp of Elizabeth, NJ; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three great, great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

The family wishes to thank the staff of McClellands Home for Adults for the 5 years of care they gave to Barbara.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10am at St Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery in Brewster.
