WAPPINGERS FALLS – Barbara H. Pica, 80, an area resident for 26 years, died peacefully on August 22, 2023 at her home following a long illness.
Born in Fort Rucker, Alabama on March 2, 1943, she was the daughter of Leonard and Dorothy (Tobin) Herrick. Barbara had been employed as a property manager with ABM in Houston, TX, and had also worked with her husband in his business.
Barbara was a staunch Republican who enjoyed debating and talking about politics. She was also a very creative stained-glass artist. However, her family was the most important thing in the world to her.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Thomas Pica; her daughter, Lenna DiFabio; her grandchildren, Lexi DiFabio, Ben DiFabio and Timothy Stephen Henagan; her siblings, Steve Herrick, Richard Herrick and Dorothy Washburn; and her nieces, Kelly Herrick and Elizabeth Gabari.
Barbara was predeceased by her beloved sons Stephen Henagan and Timothy Henagan.
Calling hours will be held on Friday August 25, 2023 from 3-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 6:30pm.
