WAPPINGERS FALLS - Barbara Sharon Sadowski, 72, an area resident since 1974, passed away at home on April 24, 2023. She previously lived in Yonkers.

Born in the Bronx on February 8, 1951, Barbara was the daughter of the late Theodore and Lillian (Goldberg) Lichtman. In 2015, she retired as senior accountant from Cessna Citation in Newburgh after 40 years of service.
On September 6, 1980 in Beacon, she married Edward C. Sadowski who predeceased her in 2012. She is survived by her children, Amanda Donovan and her husband Joe of NY, Ashley Sadowski of MA, and Edward Sadowski, Jr. and his wife Yuka of VA; her grandchildren, Ryan, Gavin, Kiley, Felicity, Tristan and Alex; her brother, Richard Lichtman; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

An avid crafter, Barbara especially loved quilting, doing needle point, crocheting, and sewing. She liked to go the beach, as well as cook and read. She enjoyed watching TV, and encouraged her family and friends to start watching Madame Secretary. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

The family would like to thank Barbara's friends for their love, care, and support, especially Clare Hermann, Julie Hettinger, and Debbie Maida.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 1 – 3 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
