Barbara Sherman's Obituary
WAPPINGERS FALLS – Barbara A. Sherman, a lifelong area resident, died on September 24, 2020 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Poughkeepsie on August 22, 1939, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Muriel (Tomlins) Townsend.
On May 11, 1958 in Poughkeepsie, Barbara married Harvey E. Sherman who predeceased her on December 16, 2016. Barbara is survived by her son, Todd Sherman and his girlfriend Tammy Williams; her daughter, Deborah Mangarillo; her grandson, Christopher Burress; her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Payton and Jacob; her brother, Gilbert Townsend and his wife Debra; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her son, Harvey Sherman; and her granddaughter, Ryleigh Cassidy.
A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11am at the New Hackensack Cemetery.
