Battistina (Betty) K. Paraggio, a 42 year resident of LaGrangeville, died on Monday, November 3, 2014.
Betty was born on September 30, 1942 to the late Philip Salzano and Josephine Cascella of Yonkers, and was married to Patrick P. Paraggio, her husband of 49 years, who survives at home. She is also survived by her son, Patrick A. Paraggio of Nashua, NH; her daughter, Lisa L. Paraggio Bussa and her husband Michael Bussa of LaGrange, NY; her son, Philip M. Paraggio and his wife Cathy of Kent, NY; her grandchildren, Ryan Paraggio, Nicholas Paraggio, Christina Paraggio, Christopher Paraggio, Emylie Bussa and Michael Bussa Jr.; her brother, Anthony Salzano and his wife Cheryl of Babylon, NY; and her sister, Gloria Catullo of Hebron, CT. She also enjoyed sixteen nieces and nephews and 27 great-nieces and nephews.
Betty was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, and a member of the Trinity Piecemakers Quilt Group. She enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, horse riding and visiting the ocean.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 6 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 7 at 10am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
