Obituary

Beach I. Burlingame, Jr., 56, a lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 23, 2015.

Born in Cold Spring on October 20, 1958, he was the son of Beach I. Burlingame, Sr. and Lulu Brown Van Wagner. Beach had been employed as a mechanic for the Town of Beekman Highway Department and was a member of Teamsters #456. He enjoyed repairing old tractors, but more than anything he cherished time spent with his family.

On April 23, 1988 at the Hopewell Reformed Church, Beach married Denise Lettieri who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Jeanie Trout and her husband Mike of PA, Beach I. Burlingame III and his fiancé Amanda Butts of Hopewell Junction, Douglas Burlingame of Hopewell Junction, Julianne Burlingame of Hopewell Junction and Patrick Burlingame of Hopewell Junction; his grandchildren, Sarah, Shelby, Michael, Beach IV, and Anthony; his brothers and their wives, Roland and Darlene Burlingame of Pine Plains, Mark and Jean Burlingame of Stanfordville; his stepfather, Doug VanWagner of Hillsdale; his mother and father-in-law, Marie and Ralph Lettieri; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville.
