Bernabella Hu, 95, a resident of Hopewell Junction and previously of Woodside, Queens, died at home surrounded by her family on October 1, 2017.

Born on August 18, 1922 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico.

Bernabella loved gardening, dancing, playing dominoes, walking and being with family. She never failed to give a hug, kiss, advice or her blessings.
She is survived by her children, Nilo Ramos and his wife Darlene of Texas, Shirley Wishnie and her husband Christopher of South Salem, Joyce Sanchez and her husband David of Hopewell Junction, Michael Hu and his wife Clarissa of the Bronx; her 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9pm at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 9:30am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
