WAPPINGERS FALLS – Betty Jean Sandalls, 86, of Wappingers Falls died on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie.

Born in Peekskill on November 26, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Edna Gaylord. In spring of 1944, Betty married Harold Bohlig. On April 11, 1975 in Croton, she married George Joseph Sandalls. Mr. Sandalls predeceased her on March 17, 2007. Betty Jean was employed as a waitress at the Pickwick Post in Tarrytown.

She is survived by her children, Donna Hart of Danbury, CT, Betty Ann Nolan of Phoenix, AZ, and Robert Bohlig and his wife Dana of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Sandra Johnson, Kelly Hart, Tommy Carpenter, Jason Bohlig, and Janell Bohlig-Buenaflor; and her great-grandchildren, Madeline, Ivy, Collin, Ryan, Robert, Christopher, and Rianne. She was predeceased by her sister, Lois Gossage and her brother, James Gaylord.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 9:00-9:30am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
