Obituary


Beverly Baader Brinckerhoff, 76, passed on Monday, August 31, 2009 at The Bethel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Croton-on-Hudson.
Born in Long Island City on February 19, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Julius J. and Rose Dietrich Baader.  Throughout her youth, Beverly resided with her family in New Jersey and Massachusetts.  As a freshman at Hobart & William Smith College, she met H. Todd Brinckerhoff in 1952.  They were engaged their sophomore year, and just after graduating were married on June 25, 1955.
Since that time, Mrs. Brinckerhoff has resided at her home in Fishkill, as well as her additional residences in Wolfeboro, NH and Ocean Reef Club, FL.
Beverly was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fishkill.  For many years, she had volunteered at various hospitals in the Hudson Valley, from Candy Striper to Foundation Board President.  She also served on the boards of both the Blodgett Memorial Library and Locust Grove Historical Site.
An avid golfer, Beverly became the first woman to hold full membership at the Dutchess Golf and Country Club.  She served as President of the Ladies' Golf Divisions of both the Dutchess Golf and Country Club and the Ocean Reef Club in Florida.  Her other hobbies included needlepoint and playing bridge.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, H. Todd Brinckerhoff, at home; three daughters, Mary E. Brinckerhoff & her husband George J. Munsterman of Fishkill, Barbara B. Teed and her husband David J. of Hopewell Junction, and Margaret R. Brinckerhoff of New York City; four grandchildren, Jake, Michael, Rebecca, and Billy; two step-grandchildren, Crystal and Justin; her brother, Paul Baader of PA; her sister-in-law, Harriet B. Haslett of CT; and many other loving family members and friends.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1200 Main Street, Fishkill, with Rev. Sr. Jean Campbell officiating.  Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
