Beloved father and husband Bharat Dev Kapur passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on December 2, 2023 at the age of 83. He was born in Lahore, India to the late Mehar Chand Kapur and Vidya (Wati) Kapur. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shukla, his daughter, Dina (Divya) Kapur Sanna, his son, Amit Kapur, his son-in-law, Christian Anthony Sanna and his grandchildren, Ethan Robert Sanna, and Eva Anjali Sanna.

Mr. Kapur had a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Statistics from Pennsylvania State University, and worked at Met Life. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading Indian philosophy and religion, listening to classical Indian music, and tutoring family and friends in higher mathematics. He was a kind and caring soul who was a quiet source of strength to his family and a loyal friend to many in the Indian community.

Mr. Kapur suffered a setback in 2014, when he had a stroke. Through sheer force of will and strength, he overcame an otherwise dire diagnosis to live another 9 years. We are grateful for God's grace in giving us this time with him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Kapur will take place on Tuesday December 5, 2023 from 2-4 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction, NY. Services will be livestreamed.
