Bhogilal Bhaichandbhai Patel passed away on October 20, 2024 at the age of 76. Born March 24, 1948 in Saniya Hemad, Surat, Gujarat, India, Bhogilal called many places home in his later years, including Surat, Gujarat; Newburgh, New York; Brunswick, Maryland and Milford, Delaware.

Bhogilal is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 55 years, Indumatiben; his children, Manisha, Manoj, and Sundeep; his nephews, Yogin and Nikul; his son-in-law, Kalpesh; his daughters-in-law, Bhumika and Jashmina; his sister, Urmilaben; and his grandchildren, Kisha, Andrew, Diya, Jishnu, Riya, Dev, Parth, and Rushi, whom were his pride and joy. He was predeceased by his parents, Bhaichandbhai and Shantaben Patel, and his brother, Champakbhai.

Bhogilal had many professions in his life, including farming and textiles, but his passion and dedication was to his family. After the loss of his father at a young age, Bhogilal selflessly shouldered the responsibility for his extended family, a commitment he honored throughout his life. In his free time, he was the founding director and board member of Surat Mercantile Bank; was a member of the Lions Club of Surat; and was a board member of Gujarat State Financial Corporation.

Bhogilal was known for his strong values, his honesty and integrity, and his dedication to serving others. He always loved to be at the center of the action, whether at the dining table, on the dance floor at every celebration, or simply joining along for a shopping trip. His positivity, spirit, and zest for life shined brightly wherever he went.

A Viewing and Prathna will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and the Funeral will take place on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM with cremation to follow, all services will be held at McHoul Funeral Home, 895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533.
