Blanche Pilar Gasquet Ramon passed away on December 30 at the age of 92 years and ten months surrounded by her beloved family.

Mrs. Ramon was born on March 2, 1920 in New York, NY. After the death of her father, Antonio Gasquet, in 1934 she moved with her mother, Pilar Jal, and brother, Alfonso, to Sabinanigo, Spain where she later trained as a hairdresser. She married Jesus Olivan Ramon on June 16, 1943. Three children were born while the couple lived in Spain.

In 1951 Mrs. Ramon returned to New York with her family. First employed in a bobbin factory in Astoria, she was later employed for twenty-eight years as a telephone operator at Macy's. She resided in the Bronx until 2005 when she moved to The Manor at Woodside in Poughkeepsie, her home until her death this week.

Mrs. Ramon is survived by her son Angelo Ramon of Verona, NJ and daughter Maria Ramon Weber of Wappingers Falls, daughter-in-law Gail, son-in-law John, and daughter-in-law Josephine of Belrose, Queens; six grandchildren: Michael and Stephen Weber, Christian Ramon and Jennifer Ramon Roy, and Sara and Emily Ramon; and eight great-grandchildren: Cameron, Samantha, and Abigail Roy, John Patrick, William, and Katherine Weber, and Juliet and Alexa Ramon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ramon was predeceased by her husband Jesus and son Andrew.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2nd at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 3rd at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Queens.
