Brian Anthony Amato, 52, an area resident since 2007 and formerly of the Bronx, died peacefully at his home on October 24, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Hempstead on August 14, 1973, he was the son of the late George and Maureen (Kennedy) Amato. Brian was employed as an HVAC Manager with APA Associates in North Salem. He had been a member of the Wappingers Lodge #0671, F.&A.M. in Wappingers Falls and a member of First Lutheran Church of Throggs Neck.

A talented musician, Brian was the lead singer in his band, Freakswitch. He also enjoyed being at his camper at The Blackthorne Resort in East Durham.

On May 18, 2002, at the Blackthorne Resort, Brian married Jennifer Fitzsimmons who survived at home. He is also survived by his children, Kaitlyn Welsh and her husband Adam Carballido, Meagan Amato and Hailey Amato; Jeanne Quinn, his other mom. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Jonathan Amato.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on November 9th at 1pm at Wappingers Lodge #0671, F.&A.M., 150 Myers Corners Road, Wappingers Falls.
