Obituary

Wappingers Falls – Brian Scott Lankester, 42, a lifelong area resident, died on July 8, 2013 at home.

Born in Yonkers on January 19, 1971, he was the son of Leslie and Patricia (McLean) Lankester. His parents survive at home.

Brian was a graduate of John Jay High School in Hopewell Junction and had attended classes at Dutchess Community College. He had been employed as a sheet metal worker for Local 38 in Brewster. An avid NASCAR fan, he also enjoyed operating radio controlled cars.

In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his sister, Alicia and her husband Commander Adam Lyons, US Navy of Guam; his grandmother, Alice Maier of Fishkill; his niece and nephew, Julia and Ian Lyons; his aunts and uncles, Michele and Dr. Frank Mendoza and Marilyn and Peter Baginski; and many cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2–4 and 7–9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
