June 12, 1945 – March 5, 2025
Brice P. McMasters passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born on June 12, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Brice and Ruth (Hueglin) McMasters. On December 31, 1969, at Trinity Methodist Church in Denver, CO, he married his beloved wife Linda Jean (Travis) McMasters.
Brice proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1963-1967. He worked for many years as a Supervisor for the Local 60 Laborer's Union.
People in Cold Spring could find Brice on walks or drives in town with a friendly wave or by the river watching for eagles with his binoculars. He found immense fulfilment in his role as a grandfather, leaving a lasting legacy of love for his grandchildren. He always brought a smile to their faces with his playful spirit and endless love.
Although his home remained in Cold Spring, Brice spent his last months in Poughkeepsie with his devoted wife Linda, daughter Lisa DiStefano, son-in-law Michael DiStefano, and grandchildren Madylin, Makayla and Brayden DiStefano.
Brice is also survived by his son Todd McMasters, his grandson Derek McMasters, and his sisters Margot Lonabaugh and her husband Lonnie, Elyse Hendricks and her husband Billie and his brother Edward McMasters. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc.
