Bruno Scauri's Obituary
Bruno A. Scauri, a resident of Fishkill, NY, previously from Jackson Heights, NY passed away on May 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 93 years old.
Bruno was born on July 22, 1930, the son of the late Giacomo and Maria (Consigli) Scauri.
With a grateful heart, Bruno proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. from 1951 to 1953.
On April 24, 1954, Bruno married the one true love of his life, Concetta DiBella. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Connie survives at home.
At the age of 80, Bruno retired from foodservice sales. His 58 year career started at Captain Post in Manhattan and continued with US Foods in Kearny, NJ. During his career, he developed strong relationships with his clients and co-workers. His work ethic and love for the business was recognized by all.
Everything he did, he did for his family. He was a selfless man, who took great pride in taking care of his family and those close to him. He was known by many and loved by all.
In addition to his wife Concetta "Connie", Bruno is survived by his children: Donna Luckie and her husband Michael, Richard Scauri and his wife Madeline, his grandchildren: Andrew Luckie and his wife Kelley, Taylor Kimble and her husband Michael, and Emily Scauri, his great grandchildren: Olivia and Jack Luckie. He is also survived by his nieces: Linda, Laura, Jean, Maria and his nephew, Bobby.
Bruno is pre-deceased by his brothers: Primo Scauri and his wife Mary; Peter Scauri and his wife Marie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 10:45am at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church (his parish for 50 years), 82-00 35th Avenue, Jackson Heights, NY 11372. Entombment with military honors will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery – St. Anthony's Mausoleum, 7202 Astoria Blvd. S., Queens, NY 11370. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow with details to come.
