Camille R. Romano, 65, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 1974 and formerly of Peekskill, died on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in the Bronx on March 4, 1946, she was the daughter of Camillo and Rose Mascolo Magliaro. Camille was employed as a waitress at Longobardi's Restaurant in Wappingers Falls for the past 29 years. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church and she loved traveling, especially trips near the water. More than anything, Camille loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
On January 22, 1966 in the Bronx, Camille married John Romano who survives at home. She is also survived by her children and their spouses, John and Jeannette Romano of Wappingers Falls and Dena and Joey White of Wappingers Falls; her brother, Dominick Magliaro and his wife Stephanie of Casa Grande, AZ; her grandchildren, Nicole, Alyssa and John Michael Romano Jr., Stephanie, Victoria and Joseph White, Nicholas and Anthony Romano; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Nicholas Romano in 2005 and her brother John Magliaro.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
