Obituary

KENT - Cara Phyllis Lappin Baker, 40, a lifelong area resident, died on December 17, 2020.

Born in the Bronx on February 23, 1980, she was the daughter of Cory Lappin and Gail Stumm. On July 21, 2006 in Jamaica, Cara married Eric Baker who survives at home. Cara and Eric were the owners and operators of Eric Baker & Daughters Plumbing in Carmel. Cara loved being in the sun, boating and kayaking, golfing, and feeding the squirrels and deer.

In addition to her husband and parents, Cara is also survived by her daughters, Hailey Baker and Julia Baker; her stepmother, Nancy; her brothers, Anthony, Mario, and Chris; her aunt and uncle, Dawn and Joe Quitoni; and her cousins, Steven and Aly, Dominick and Ashley; and her two dogs, three cats, two ferrets, and all her outdoor critters.
Calling hours will held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11am followed by interment at Halstead Union Cemetery.
