EAST FISHKILL - Carl D. Boss, 82, a lifelong area resident, died on September 13, 2024 at his home.

Born in Beacon on April 24, 1942, he was the son of Irvin and Helen (Hodge) Boss. Carl had been employed as an Engineer for IBM. Carl enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking Mount Beacon, the Catskills and the Adirondacks. He was an all-around handyman and electrician who loved putting things together.

On August 6, 1966 in Wappingers Falls, Carl married the love of his life, Linda Roarabaugh, who survives at home. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Duane and Dania Boss, and Andrea and Dwayne Jarvis; his grandchildren, Angelina, Katarina, Johan, and Steven Boss, Mackenzie, Cassandra, Dalaney and Emma Jarvis; his sister, Dora Russell; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Eugene, David, Janet, Frances and Carol.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 21, from 10am-1pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 12:30pm.
