Carlton Ignatius D'Souza, 61, an area resident of Hopewell Junction since 1994, was called Home to his Heavenly Father on June 8, 2025.

Born in Mumbai, India, on February 1, 1964, Carlton was the loving son of the late Charles Anthony and Maria Imelda (Sequeira) D'Souza. Carlton spent his younger years in Santacruz, a suburb of Mumbai, but eventually moved to the US at age 18 to pursue his undergraduate degree in Computer Science at Pace University. A modest and intelligent man, he went on to a successful career in IT and at the time of his passing, was Director - Solution Engineering at PTC, Inc.

On October 30, 1993, in Toronto, Canada, he married the love of his life, Florence Wendy (Hadfield) D'Souza . Together they had two wonderful and talented children, Dr. Natalie D'Souza, MD, and Adrian D'Souza, who are a testament to his loving and nurturing presence. Carlton was a devoted husband and father who could always be found cooking up a delicious (and sometimes plant-based) meal in the kitchen, growing beautiful dahlias in his garden, or exploring the world with his family. He had a zest for life and cultivated friendships everywhere he went. He was the type of friend everyone wishes they had since he never hesitated to go the extra mile when someone needed his help. His kindness, affection, and patience will be greatly missed.

Carlton is predeceased by his mother, Maria Imelda D'Souza , and his father, Charles Anthony D'Souza. Carlton is also survived by wife, Florence Wendy D'Souza; his children, Natalie D'Souza and Adrian D'Souza; his brother, Abbot Gerard D'Souza of the Abbey of the Genesee; his sister, Melissa Menezes and her husband Kevin; and his niece, Rochelle Menezes.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 13th from 3 - 7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Saturday, June 14th at St. Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville , NY, followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
