Carmela Cammarata's Obituary
Carmela Cammarata, 80, a resident of Pleasant Valley since 2005 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Sicily on July 6, 1935, she was the daughter of Mariano and Carmela Vernagallo.
On November 13, 1966 in the Bronx, Carmela married Giuseppe Cammarata who predeceased her on September 4, 2006.
Carmela is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Bernadina and Pasquale Nargi of Pleasant Valley, and Carmela and Richard Sellati of Pleasant Valley; her grandchildren, Juliana, Joseph, Lia and Sofia; and her siblings, Michele Vernagallo, Rosa Paternostro, Maria Cammarata, Pietra DiPalermo, and Franca Vernagallo.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 11:30am at St. Benedict's Church, 2969 Otis Avenue, Bronx followed by entombment in St. Raymond's Cemetery.
