EAST FISHKILL - Carmelo Domenico Milio, 91, an area resident for 35 years and formerly of Yonkers, died peacefully on August 10, 2024 at his daughter's home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Italy on June 25, 1933, he was the son of Filippo Lapi and Carmela Milio. Carmelo was self-employed, owning and managing real estate, in his latter years.

On August 7, 1952 in Italy, Carmelo married Antonina Terranova who predeceased him on March 31, 2006. He was also predeceased by his son, Filippo Milio; and his brother, Filippo Milio.

Carmelo is survived by his children and their spouses, Josephine DiMeo, Carmela and Mario Terranova, Maria and Pascal Iannelli, Salvatore and Tina Milio, Alfio and Maria Milio; his daughter-in-law, Fernanda Milio; his sister, Concetta Miano; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 11:30am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers.
