Carmen D. Davila, age 70, passed away on January 5, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Puerto Rico on March 29, 1953 to the late Florencio and Marciana (Perez) Davila.
Carmen loved to listen to Maranatha, a Spanish prayer podcast. She enjoyed word search puzzles, shopping in Burlington and eating shrimp Alfredo. She also loved to serve in church activities.
She is survived by her daughters, Amarilis Aviles and Amneris Cuadrado; her 9 grandchildren, Jose Aviles, Kiara Brady, Sara Aviles, Jeremiah Aviles, Daniel Aviles, Christian Velez, Abigail Aviles, and Brandon Velez; her 2 great-granddaughters, Seaona Brady, and Jubilee Brady; and her 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Carmen was predeceased by her husband, Rene Cuadrado in 1994; her son, Rene Cuadrado, Jr. in 1987; and her 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday January 11, 2024 from 6-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction, NY. A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Friday January 12, 2024 at 10:30 am, followed by burial at Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn.
