CONWAY, South Carolina – Carmine B. Porcelli, 83, a resident of South Carolina since 2018, died at home on April 14, 2020. He previously lived in Hopewell Junction, NY and Yonkers, NY.
Born on March 18, 1937 in the Bronx, NY, Carmine was the son of the late Vincent and Alice (Voight) Porcelli. He proudly served in the US Army. Carmine was employed as a transmission specialist at Century Transmissions in the Bronx, NY until his retirement in 2001.
A diehard fan of the NY Yankees, Carmine also enjoyed playing softball with his son, Vincent and stirring the pot with his daughter, Mary about her favorite team, the Mets. He liked to dabble in his garage on various projects. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
On May 17, 1959 in the Bronx, NY, Carmine married Joanne T. Porcelli who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughter, Mary Peters of Conway, SC; his son, Vincent Porcelli and his wife Kimberly of Fishkill, NY; his grandchildren, Krista Peters, Johnnie Peters, Matthew Peters, Jaclyn Peters, Arianna Porcelli, and Victoria Porcelli; his great-grandchild, A.J. Cotten; and his sister, Caroline D'Amico. In addition to his parents, Carmine was also predeceased by Mary Porcelli Materasso in 1959.
