EAST FISHKILL – Carol Ann Conrad, 81, an area resident since 1994 and formerly of White Plains, Mount Vernon and the Bronx died peacefully on January 16, 2024. At the time of her passing Carol was surrounded and comforted by her loving family.
A New Year's Eve Baby, Carol was born on December 31, 1942 in the Bronx, and was the daughter of Howard and Katherine (Curtain) Schork. Carol had a long and successful career in the life insurance industry and was well regarded among her colleagues and customers alike. Her passions in life centered around her family and friends, those she loved the most, especially her three beautiful granddaughters. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and daughter and was the happiest when she was with her family, no matter where. She enjoyed vacationing with her husband Dan and her family. She loved fishing, crabbing and relaxing with a book on the beach in Sea Isle City. She was an avid gardener and could create the most beautiful outdoor flower arrangements anyone could imagine.
On October 10, 1964 at Sacred Heart Church in the Bronx, Carol married John M. Conrad, Sr. Together, they raised their children, John and Jennifer, until his unexpected death on December 23, 2006. On July 17, 2009 Carol married Daniel Q. Kelly who survives at home. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her son John Conrad Jr.; her daughter, Jennifer Centrone and her husband Luca; her granddaughters, Alyssa, Sabrina and Liliana; many nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members.
Carol had an impact on everyone she met with her kind, loving and welcoming ways. We will miss her wonderful sense of humor, her style, her grace and the way she viewed life, love and family.
