Carol Carra DeMarco, 91, a resident of Poughkeepsie for 26 years, died on December 22, 2016 at the Lutheran Care Center. She previously lived in the Bronx.
Born in the Bronx on October 21, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Ciriaco and Rose (Visco) Carra. Carol was a kind and loving woman, who affected the lives of many people. Most of all, her family meant everything to her and she loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her children and their spouses, Theresa and Robert Kautz of LaGrangeville and Anthony and Dolores Cassini of Coral Springs, FL; her grandchildren, Theresa Fetzer and her husband James, Dena Veith, Jeanine Finelli and her husband Ryan, Laraine Luhmann and her husband Christopher, Michael Cassini and his wife Amy, Anthony Cassini and his wife Marisa; and Lindsay Tierney; and her great-grandchildren, Amber, Charlie, Domenic, Lily, Robert, Jack, Emerick, Vivian, London, and Bella. She was predeceased by her husband, Valentine DeMarco in 2015 and her brothers, Gaetano Carra and Eugene Carra.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Joseph's Church, 15 North Avenue, Millbrook followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
